When you thought you have understood something or someone, it turns out you're wrong. It then all looks weird and unfamiliar and you'd wonder why life has so many loopholes in it. But I guess life is not made to be understood but to be lived. The question arises as to how one should live. There are many ideals and standards of living which must or must not be followed. I think it's all subjective. Even earthly truth.
