5 Ways to Cut Spending in the Business for 2016

In order for a business to survive, money needs to be spent wisely. Technology provides a number of ways to reduce the overhead costs of a company through various alternatives. These methods may also prove to be a good marketing point by advertising that your business is essentially "eco-friendly." While you don't have to line your roof with solar panels, cutting the costs of paper and energy use has potential to attract customers who focus on the environment.

BYOD Platforms

Many businesses are moving to a Bring-Your-Own-Device platform. This means employees use their own smartphones, laptops and computers to perform the work. It saves money on hardware purchased by the company and the time spent by your IT staff to keep them operational. For a lot of businesses, personal hardware means personal expense to repair broken devices.

Paperless Systems

In reality, there is no reason to store or create paper-based documents in the 21st century. Digital signatures are just as binding as those of pen and paper in most states. Using paperless document management allows you to archive everything you'll ever need without buying countless file cabinets and drawers. Some businesses have to get large storage units to hold all of their paperwork, which becomes an additional expense.

Cloud Usage

Storing files and such on the Cloud allows you to access work materials from virtually anywhere. This provides a greater level of productivity for your employees while giving access to vital information from anywhere there is an Internet connection.

In the Bathrooms

Using motion-sensing lights and aerated faucets reduces the resources wasted in the bathroom every day. Most organizations keep their lights on throughout all hours. Motion switches removes this energy loss by registering the movement of people actually in the facilities. Aerated faucets reduces the amount of water that is used when employees wash their hands.

Watering the Grounds

Water timers can help regulate how much is being used. Some of the newer models will detect rainfall eliminating the need to water the grass. You can also go a step further and use additives that will enhance the usage of that water. This could reduce how often your grounds need to be saturated by up to 50 percent, depending on the brand of additive.

These are only a few ways that you can prepare the business for 2016. With each new innovative technology, greater savings can be achieved. Keep your finger on the pulse of business devices and discover other ways to drastically cut your financial losses each year. Less money to these expenses means more money for marketing and payroll.

Leave The Cleaning To Someone Else

If you own a business, then you know that it can sometimes be hard to make sure every area is as clean a it should be before the next day. Janitorial services MN companies offer can help you keep the business clean and sanitary for the employees and customers so that there is a welcoming environment each day. Someone can come to the business after hours, through the day or on the weekend depending on the schedule that you make.

When you hire the company to come clean, you will know that it will be done in a professional manner. High-quality cleaners and supplies are used in all areas of the building. The workers who enter the building will do more than simply sweep, vacuum and dust. They will make sure trash is removed, counters are cleaned and surfaces are sanitary. You can schedule the workers to come in for a deep cleaning so that areas are cleaned with a bleach solution, but this is something that should be done if no one will be in the building the next day in order to allow the fumes from the bleach to dissipate.

Sometimes, those who work in the office might not want to clean while performing the other duties that they have. It can cause them to decrease production if they have to empty trash or clean the bathroom. This is another benefit of hiring a janitorial service as you will have employees who maintain the office end of the business and those who focus on cleaning.

Allergens can be reduced if you have someone who can come in and properly dust all areas, even those that you might not think about. The workers can clear away the dust from the blinds, which is an area that doesn't usually get cleaned, as well as windowsills and behind chairs in a waiting area. The workers will make sure that items that are used every day are kept on hand, such as toilet paper and paper towels. With all of the work that is done in the business, you might forget to keep these items in stock.

Safety Matting is Extremely Important

Safety Matting is Extremely Important

Safety is of prime importance in any type of facility, whether it is industrial, commercial, businesses, schools, restaurants, hotels and motels, nursing or assisted living homes, warehouses, fitness centers, gyms, walkways, entrances, playgrounds, wet areas, and other locations which are heavily used and require the addition of a preventive measure.

Why Are Floor Mats So Needed?

Floor mats are among the safety necessities required in order to protect workers, visitors, and the floors themselves. AntiFatigue mats keep workers’ legs and feet comfortable and cut down on absences from work caused by the resultant aches and pains from having to do a lot of standing. In addition, non-slip mats reduce slip and fall injuries by both workers and customers who come to the business or facility.

What Types of Matting Are Available?

More than 30 years of first-rate experience in the industry learning about the requirements to accommodate a safe environment has resulted in a very wide selection of high quality durable and affordable matting products. Competitive prices are maintained, especially with one choice being recycled rubber mats.

Manufacturing

Combining sales with the added benefit of actually manufacturing many of the mats results in being able to keep pricing down for customers who have to operate within a predetermined budget. Examples of such mats are Grip Rock, Super G, Grip Rock-Freezer, and Brite Trac slip resistant matting.

Warranty

Always offered is at least a standard one-year warranty against any manufacturer's defects on all products, and some products have an even longer warranty.

Assistance

Utilizing JCH International in Rome, Georgia, and its knowledgeable and friendly sales staff will assist you in the proper product and quantity selection that is right for your particular purposes.

You can get quick immediate delivery by using products in stock, or you can get help designing a logo or other unique or unusually-sized mat if you are willing to wait for your order to be completed according to your directions.. You can also obtain free samples to assist in the selection of the many colors and complete line of products.

Commercial Renovation Allows Businesses to Get Serious

Companies today are coming to understand that if they want to be taken seriously in the business world, then they have to have a commercial home that is both functional and great looking. Whether it's right or not, clients and would-be clients make judgments about businesses using the simplest of criteria. Many are choosing to order now when they have an opportunity to make their commercial space look new and comfortable.

Commercial renovations can work very well with re-branding. Some of the professional renovation companies know precisely how to work within the constructs of a company's biggest wishes. Companies that are looking to establish themselves within the contours of a new industry, for instance, might want to make a bold splash. Others will want to reflect traditional values. Whatever the case may be, commercial remodeling services get the job done.

Often, consumers are looking to work with companies that have a comfortable commercial home. If your business was built a few decades ago, it might be missing those little things that can help to make it the kind of place where people want to spend a few hours of their time. Remodeling services help companies get the comfort level that can allow them to reach even the most difficult consumers.

If your business is looking for a boost, it might be time to consider the impact of a renovated commercial space. There are good remodeling companies today who are helping businesses get on the right track by re-vamping their space for an affordable price.

How Remanufacturing Is Helping HVAC Customers Save Money and the Planet

Air conditioning technology is much more efficient now than in previous decades. This is thanks to more eco-friendly refrigerant chemicals and recycling programs. Businesses, like American Hermetics and hundreds of others, help to keep costs down for customers by using these environmentally safe strategies. One such strategy is remanufacturing.

Remanufacturing is a strategy where existing HVAC parts are repaired and supplemented with newer parts. This allows the HVAC business to use the same HVAC part without ordering or manufacturing new parts. Remanufacturing can be used when repairing a HVAC unit or it can be used during the manufacturing process itself. Essentially, a new HVAC unit can be made with various parts that are remanufactured.

This process is environmentally friendly since it reduces the carbon footprint of the HVAC manufacturing or repair process. Environmentalists point out that every time a product needs to be manufactured or repaired with new parts, the carbon output from that product is raised. Therefore, by remanufacturing products, like an air conditioning compressor, the HVAC repair or manufacturing process is much more environmentally friendly.

In addition, these strategies help customers in terms of costs. By reducing the amount of energy and resources going into the repair or manufacturing process, remanufacturing can reduce the overall cost of the HVAC unit. This passes on savings to customers.

Remanufacturing is a cost effective and environmentally safe way to repair or manufacture HVAC units. Many companies are on the leading edge of using this strategy when they are working on air conditioners and other HVAC systems.

How Brands Are Advertising Now

There was a time when the big brands and companies in the country only tapped celebrities to endorse their products or services. Nowadays, they recognize the reputation and the power of persuasion of bloggers. The readers of blogs could easily identify with the writers behind them since they are ordinary people like you and me. There is something more personal and believable about bloggers than celebrities or personalities seen only on TV. We know that these people really did try the products and they are honest in their opinions. They are more credible in our eyes because the entertainment artists could very well be made over by an army of stylists and make-up artists before endorsing the whitening product, for example. With bloggers, customer testimonials are not anymore done by random people we don't know, but rather by figures who are most probably like us in many ways.

In my reality, the moms who are bloggers are very influential in my purchasing decisions. The well-known mommy bloggers I read and follow also face home dilemmas and children woes like I do, so if they have tried products and advice that work for them, it is most likely that I will purchase them for me and my family too. Advertising these days has taken a different turn and it sure is wise of the big brands and companies to have the common yet respected folks support their campaigns and advocacies. It sure is beneficial to reinvent the ways they deliver their products and messages to the public. More and more people are online and getting most of their information through the Internet. In view of this, the companies are taking advantage of this truth and are partnering with people, especially bloggers, who are established online as sources of these information, as well as inspiration. I think this is wise because this tactic works on me. :-)

Guest Post: Advice From Mark Hansen To Kidpreneurs

Moms, one way to welcome the new year is to learn of new ideas and to tap into our children's potentials. If you have a child who shows signs of being a kidpreneur, or is business-minded, this message from Mark Hansen could be helpful.

Mark Victor Hansen gives advice to kids directly.

Hi there all you amazing Kidpreneurs! I’m Mark Hansen, your friend and supporter, and I’m going to tell you the secrets to turn your business idea into a business. These tips will help you kids become rich business people at a young age and that will only be the beginning. Have you read my book – Chicken soup for the kids soul? It’s a great read. It’s got tons of stories about kids like you who have had some amazing experiences. It shows you what you guys are really capable of. That is the exact purpose with which I started the website www.gorichkids.com – to help you become great business people.

I’m going to tell you a story that’ll help you realize the importance of something as small as a business idea. There was a young man who began walking from the northeast part of U.S.A. He ate only apples on his journey from the point that he started to way past the Mississippi river. He planted the seeds of the apples he ate, and the apples he gave to others on his journey, all along the way. That man was Johnny Appleseed and the trees he planted became the Johnny Appleseed Hiking Trail. His story has been made into a book and even a movie by Disney. I always thought that Johnny was a fictional character but when I saw the trail, I realized that not only was he very real, but the trail is also amazing. It’s not much of a wonder that it’s ranked in the top three hiking trails of the U.S.A.

The point I’m trying to make here is that one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the world started as a seed. That could be your business. It will start as an idea – a seed – and grow into a large business empire like an orchard. To help this become a reality, you need to take the following three steps:
a. Go through some of the videos on my website
b. Write down, in complete detail, what you love doing and what you’re good at. Take the help of any adult that you trust on this.
c. Find a role model or mentor whose success story is similar to what you would like to achieve. This should be someone you can trust and someone who will take time out of their schedule to help you set up your business.

With these three steps, you kids will become rich business people. That’s how rich kids become rich adults – by building your ideas. These businesses will bring you success and will also help others in its wake. So, get started now to create a business that’ll make the world a little better.

Seek No More: Women Entrepreneurship Summit 2011

I saw this while blog-hopping: Seek No More: Women Entrepreneurship Summit 2011

This seems like a good way to find a good business idea or opportunity for women who want to be entrepreneurs or have their own sideline as an additional source of income. I myself am interested in this because I want to help in our financial aspect. Here I hope to learn what businesses are ideal to be run by women, and to know what works best as a home-based business. I guess I would also acquire information on the aspects of advertising items, customized notepads as incentives for clients or employees, or if there is a need to use Empowerkit as a marketing tool.

I really want to work and at the same time take care of my little ones. I also want a business that could glorify the Lord. But, it is so hard to come up with an idea that would work, and I have no experience in marketing, business administration and the likes. I am hoping I could be enlightened in this area.

On Franchising

I am planning on acquiring a franchise. Some say this is a good idea because, according to one article I read by Fitz Villafuerte:

The strongest argument for buying a franchise is brand recognition. Getting a popular franchise gives you a higher rate of success.

I also think that if I follow the company's formula, I do not have to think of what works or not. They should have that thought through already. I also hope that they will help me all throughout the process as I have very little business experience.

I wonder, if I would like to implement my own business strategy, would they let me? For example, if I want to let the people in the area know that I exist, could I give out something like promotional pens? Of course, I will have to put the logo on a pen I will distribute so the potential customers would get acquainted with the brand.

Then, to keep the customers coming, I hope I would get the fund to acquire personalized pencils and stationery to give away to wonderful customers come Christmas. But, that is, if it is not against the company's policy. Things like these I have to remember to ask the company. Maybe they would have their own style of marketing that I must follow, definitely.

Please wish me luck!

What Lies Ahead

I welcome the year 2011 with God's grace, mercy and blessings! A new year entails a new and revised set of goals, some milestones to achieve especially with children.

  • Caleb is going to start on solids already, so my goal is to get him to eat veggies so it will become a habit. I do not want him to be like his sister who loathes greens and orange-colored vegetables.
  • Speaking of habit, I want praying to become our family's habit. Also, reading the Bible again and again I will incorporate in my everyday life.
  • Financially, I need to be careful with spending and peruse sites like Savings.com. I hope I make good use of deals that could help me save money in the long run. Also, I need to market Human Nature aggressively. I am starting with that by giving the products as gifts for any occasion. I wish they would like them and order from me.
  • De-clutter, a word I dread but is a must! Our house is as chaotic as it can be. Practice being ruthless is what I should do when it comes to cleaning out shelves, toy boxes and closets. I have to keep in mind that the more I give out or give up, the more space I'll have for new stuff.
  • I aim to teach my daughter more on the alphabet and to write letters and numbers better. Did I mention that she started junior nursery already last November? I was proud that she didn't cry on her first day and first week of classes. And it's heart-warming to see that she has a zeal for school since she likes to answer her assignments.
  • I also have a new blog, which I call:
Please click here to learn more about it

I didn't include it anymore, but this is the first story I wrote for my blog. The new blog was created on impulse, actually. So I decided that my fictitious stories be stored in one place. I hope to write more and share my inspirations, thoughts and stories woven from my loom of a mind. I also hope that some people will bother to read it. :-)

By the way, this is my first ever entry to Mommy Moments hosted by Mommy Chris.

Interesting finds

I participated in this bazaar last weekend. I was selling Human Nature products there.

There were not many people there, therefore, there were very few customers. The reason for this, I cannot fathom. They may not be interested at all, or they have already bought gifts for loved ones ahead of time. So, I patronized some booths, many by students who were there for their thesis, and I went around looking at unique stuff.

I first tried this out. The taste and texture of the cocoa in this mocha drink was prominent. The coffee flavor was mild. I kind of liked it. See, I finished the bottle before I took this picture. I got this from The Red Gourmet, www.facebook.com/theredgourmet, which was primarily selling sun-dried tomatoes in jars for only 240Php.

I think I was the only kid in the Philippines who haven't tried scramble yet. The elders always told me that it was dirty. This was a booth's version of the concoction. It used strawberry syrup instead of chocolate, and it had marshmallows on top. I want to try the ones at the malls next time.

Looks familiar? This design would if you have played Plants vs. Zombies.

They also have designs like this, of sushi with chopsticks and of bento boxes. They are 3-dimensional like they stuck food on the bag. They're yarn, I think. Great way to make a statement, huh? These are from Ragamafin, ragamafin.multiply.com. There are many other designs and they cost around 250Php.

Does your hubby, dad, or brother have an old suit that he doesn't wear anymore? This booth sells handmade bags made from old suits. They recycle them. Isn't that a fun idea? They look sturdy, too! These are from Suit Yourself, suityourself.bags@gmail.com. The pre-made ones are 1,250Php for the flatter ones, and 1,350Php for the ones with harder bases and with a bigger capacity. The sellers said that these could also be used as laptop bags. If you want to use your hubby's, dad's, or brother's suits, they could make it at a discounted price.

Beside my booth were students selling egg tarts called EggtART, eggtartco@gmail.com. Too bad I didn't get to try it. The regular egg tart costs 30Php while the flavored ones cost 35Php each.

P.S. I was not compensated in any way to promote these products.

Time for Bazaars...

...here in the Philippines, especially Metro Manila now that Christmas is approaching. I will be participating, selling:

products.

The bazaar will be held in Quezon City Sports Club on December 11-12. It's called:

If you are in the Philippines, and if you are in Metro Manila, why don't you come over? You might find suitable gifts for your loved ones this Christmas. :-)

It is my first time ever to join a bazaar as a concessionaire. I am excited and at the same time nervous. I am excited to let people be aware of Human Nature 100% natural hair and skin care products, they might like them as I did. These are all natural so no harmful chemicals will be absorbed by the body. These provide a continuous livelihood for farmers in the Philippines since the ingredients are all sourced from the country. Human Nature imports only if there are no available ones locally. I am also nervous because I don't know what to expect in a bazaar, and I am anixous about people purchasing. Any tips?

Promoting Business Online

More and more people are going online and joining social networking sites. According to Internet World Stats, an estimated 1,966,514,816 people around the world are Internet users as of June 30, 2010. Entrepreneurs recognize the fact that their target markets use the Internet almost on a daily basis. Therefore, more and more sellers are setting up shop online. I log on almost everyday when I can to check e-mails, surf, blog and chat. I also plan to buy a pair of flats and a bag online myself.

For example, when you sell funny t-shirts and you have a website for that, you can utilize a social marketing campaign and Twitter to promote your products. I have read about Twitter parties to get people acquainted with a particular website and products. There they have a discussion going on, and there's even a giveaway for the participants. It really is helpful for companies to gain exposure. My hubby runs a machine shop and I was wondering if it could help his business if I promote it online. I am not sure if his clients or potential clients go online, too. I am pondering how I am going to investigate the answer to this dilemma.

I think this is the same as promoting my blog. I try to gain exposure by commenting on other people's blogs, joining blog communities and discussions, and using Twitter and Facebook to post my new entries. Potential clients need to know that a business establishment is trustworthy, accessible, up-to-date and delivers quality products & services. Its website must be presentable, contains complete information and easy to navigate.
