Independence For The Specially Abled & The Elderly

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you have a family member, a relative, a friend, or know anyone who is differently abled? If so, here is one site that will be very helpful for them to get on the road to independence. It's called National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association or NMEDA. It is an association of mobility equipment dealers, manufacturers and rehabilitation professionals that advocates providing safe, reliable vehicles and modifications to enhance accessibility for all people. It is a non-profit trade association that aims to educate consumers on buying products from an NMEDA qualified dealer. NMEDA makes sure that their Dealers adhere to the safety standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. NMEDA dealers or the members, are the ones who sell handicap vans and vehicle modifications for disabled people. This site is especially great in giving assistance to caregivers who devote precious time to helping physically challenged people. It is also for those who are assisting the elderly. NMEDA has a QAP or a Quality Assurance Program to ensure that the customers are getting the right driving solution customized to suit their specific lifestyle and needs, and that they are not getting adapted or second hand mobility equipment. The QAP is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry. This program was developed to promote quality, safety, and reliability within the industry. NMEDA has equipment for vehicle passengers and for those who want to drive, a wheelchair carrier for different types of vehicles and product solutions for caregivers who need to safely transport these passengers. I think this is a terrific way of truly helping the physically challenged to gain independence and boost their self-esteem. If you need a mobility solution for your loved ones, you can enter your ZIP code to see if there is a qualified dealer near your area in the US.
